At-home teeth whitening is easily accessible, but it’s important to understand how PAP+ whitening gel works and why completing a full treatment ensures your teeth are whitened effectively and safely.
PAP+ is a combination of three ingredients: the PAP whitening agent, which contains no hydrogen peroxide; hydroxyapatite, the main natural component of our enamel; and potassium citrate, known for its desensitizing properties. The WHITECARE formula we’ve developed—which is 100% made in France—is suitable for a very wide audience, including people with sensitive teeth. Of course, a preliminary checkup with a dentist and a professional cleaning are always recommended.
But thanks to PAP+, you can follow a daily regimen of just 15 minutes a day to see a reduction in all the classic extrinsic stains we’re familiar with—caused by tobacco, coffee, tea, and pigmented foods.
> How do you use WHITECARE maintenance products?
Once you have completed your PAP+ treatment, you can then use maintenance products such as charcoal powder or the whitening pen.
Important note: Do not use multiple whitening products simultaneously.
After a PAP+ treatment, you can simply brush your teeth with your regular toothpaste for one month.
After that, you can use charcoal powder just once or twice a week. This 100% natural product is abrasive, so daily use is not recommended if you don’t want to damage your enamel.
As for the hydrogen peroxide-based whitening pen, it will be your go-to whitening solution when you’re away from home. Since it fits easily in a purse, you can keep it on hand to give your teeth a quick boost, for example, before a meeting. If you don’t want to use it just occasionally while on the go, you can easily opt for daily use at home at the end of the day just to maintain your whitening results.
> How does it work?
Instructions for the PAP+ treatment
1- Brush your teeth and/or clean them using WHITECARE dental spray.
2- Determine your tooth shade using the color chart.
3- Take the tube of PAP+ out of the refrigerator.
4- Place a wipe on your index finger and use the blue side to apply a strip of gel approximately 30 mm x 5 mm.
5- Part your lips and spread the gel evenly over the visible surface of your teeth.
6- Place the tray in your mouth, turn on the light, and leave it on for 15 minutes.
7- Remove the tray and rinse your mouth.
8- Rinse the tray under running water.
9- Check your teeth’s shade using the color chart.
Remember to recharge your LED tray when necessary.
Frequency & duration of the treatment
1 session of 15 minutes per day for 20 consecutive days (minimum 10 days).
Tips for maximum results
- Perform the treatment in the evening after your last meal.
- Avoid eating or drinking afterward.
- Limit consumption of staining foods and beverages during the treatment: wine, tea, coffee, soda, spices, tobacco…
Instructions for charcoal powder
1- Take the bamboo toothbrush and lightly moisten it
2- Open the charcoal powder and lightly dip your toothbrush
3- Brush your teeth for 2 minutes, then rinse.
4- Brush again with water to remove any residue.
Keep in mind that charcoal powder is highly volatile and can stain. So be sure to stay right over your sink when using it.
Instructions for the whitening pen
1- Twist the right end of the pen downward so that the whitening product is released onto the “brush” tip.
2- Once the brush is saturated with the product, simply apply it to your incisors, canines, and premolars.
3- Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse your mouth.
